About the event

This somatic group is designed to process the inherited trauma that lives in our bodies holding info and energetics from centuries of removal of ones culture and land from those who inhabit it through colonization, white supremacy, heteropatriarchy, land theft, slavery, religious persecution, genocide, violence, war, famine, environmental devastation, economic oppression and other forms of abuses the power-over culture has led us and our ancestors through.
We will do this work by exploring the language, actions, attitudes and value systems of dominator culture throughout time as it relates to our individual, and cultural/historic bodies through somatic processing. You can expect journaling, somatic exercises including breathwork, brainspotting and movement to help release and reorient the brain to adapt to more loving respectful ways of being. There is space for group shares, but not required; you're encouraged to process in your own way every session.
